Privacy

Nodo has no account, sends no usage data and keeps nothing of yours on its servers. Here is everything that leaves your computer, and why.

In short

No account
You use Nodo without signing up: there’s no Nodo user, email or password.
No usage data
The app sends no statistics, telemetry or reports to anyone.
Your secrets, in your keychain
Passwords and keys go to your system keychain, never to Nodo.
A website with no tracking
No cookies and nothing from third parties. It only counts downloads, without your IP.

What the app keeps

Your hosts, groups, snippets and settings are kept in a database on your computer, with no secrets in it. Passwords, private keys, their passphrases and your cloud account tokens go to your operating system’s keychain.

Session logs are kept encrypted on your computer. You can export a copy of your data from Settings › Import and export.

What leaves your computer

Your connections
They go straight from your computer to your servers, never through Nodo.
The update check
When it opens and every six hours, Nodo asks nodo.kyrosrd.com for the file that says which is the latest release. As with any website visit, the server sees your IP address.
Sync and vaults
Only if you turn them on, and encrypted on your computer before leaving, to the cloud folder or WebDAV you choose.
The AI
Only if you use it, to the provider you set up (Anthropic, OpenAI or another compatible one), under its own privacy policy. With a model on your computer, nothing leaves it.
Your cloud accounts
Only if you connect them: Nodo talks directly to each provider’s API from your computer.

This website

nodo.kyrosrd.com sets no cookies for visitors, runs no visitor analytics and loads nothing from third parties: fonts, styles and scripts are served from here.

When you download Nodo, the website counts the download: the file and version, your system and browser, your browser’s first language, the button on this website you downloaded from and, if you came from another website, its domain. It doesn’t keep your IP address: to count unique downloads it computes a fingerprint with a key that is deleted every day, so it can’t be reversed or linked across days. Whoever runs the website gets an email about each download with those same details, never your IP; it’s sent through Resend, the website’s email service.

Like any website, the server keeps the usual access logs (IP address, date, requested page and browser), held by the hosting provider.

The demo on the home page runs entirely in your browser with sample data. It remembers there the theme, language and monitor panel sizes you choose; none of that is sent.

The only cookie is the admin panel’s session cookie, and only whoever runs the panel gets it.
